Kelleris Vingaard

Kelleris Vingaard

Kelleris Vingaard is located in North Zealand close to the Øresund coast and the Louisiana Museum in the beautiful protected area Kelleris-kilen.
The winery was established in 2001 and is owned by Susanne and Søren Hartvig Jensen, who are some of the pioneers in Danish wine breeding. An area of 1.3 hectares has been planted with approximately 4200 vines, mainly with the Rondo and Solaris varieties. In 2007, the winery built its own underground winery where all winemaking processes take place. The winery’s UTOPIA wines are made with passion and a strong focus on quality and traditional craftsmanship. The vines are intensively trimmed and pruned during the growing season. The grapes are hand-picked and sorted to ensure that only the best fruit is used. Kelleris winery produces white wine, sparkling wine, red wine and fortified wine. The sparkling wine Utopia Renée is made using the “Champagne” method with 2nd fermentation in the bottle. The fortified wine Utopia BullsEye is made like a port, from very ripe grapes, partially fermented and added the winery’s own wine distillate. The red wines are all barrel aged in preferably French, American and Hungarian barriques.
Over the years, the Utopia wines have won several medals at various wine fairs and competitions.
It is possible to visit Kelleris Vingaard by prior arrangement. Both field and cellar tours and wine tastings are organized. See more on the winery’s website www.kellerisvingaard.dk
