Experience Denmark’s Largest Vineyard
Dyrehøj Vineyard is a gem on Røsnæs, where the landscape rolls between high dunes, gentle slopes and sunlit fields. Here, the sea’s fresh breeze from both Kalundborg Fjord and Sejerø Bay meets the soil beneath the vines—dry, sandy and rich in minerals—creating a terroir made to bring forth wines of international class. Since 2007, more than 50,000 vines have been planted at Dyrehøj, with more on the way. Dyrehøj has complete wine production, bottling and storage facilities. The vineyard’s own range is broad, from elegant sparkling wines made using the Méthode Traditionnelle to fresh white wines, delicate rosés and seductive dessert wines.
Come and visit Dyrehøj and follow winding paths through shrub-covered hills, with the shimmering sea as your backdrop. Take a break and feel the wind on your face from the westernmost point of Zealand, just 1 hour and 15 minutes from Copenhagen. Join a guided tour of the vineyard and learn more about Danish wine and organic farming. Work up an appetite for a lovely homemade lunch at Dyrehøj’s own restaurant, where a tasty homemade lunch is served from a changing menu based on the season’s best ingredients. When the weather allows, tables are set on the terrace so you can enjoy your meal surrounded by the vineyard atmosphere. Dyrehøj Vineyard is more than wine. Our gallery is located in the heart of the idyllic surroundings and presents changing exhibitions by Danish contemporary artists—an enriching cultural experience where art, wine and nature go hand in hand.
