Sønderstrand Vin is, first and foremost, a family business, born from dreams, patience and hard work. The vineyard is run by Anna, Beinta and Jens, with great help from family and good friends. Community is an important part of our foundation.
Our wines are produced with minimal intervention and are characterised by freshness, energy and a clear sense of Nordic terroir. In style, they can be crisp, juicy, lightly saline and floral – shaped by the proximity to the sea and the distinctive climate at Sønderstrand.
The vineyard is located south of Kalundborg, just 200 metres from the coast. During the growing season, the climate is often dry, mild and windy, and the clay-rich, nutrient-dense soil provides excellent growing conditions for the vines. The sea’s proximity contributes to the grapes’ character and gives the wines their distinctive freshness and minerality.
Work in the vineyard is carried out with respect for the plants and the nature around us. We believe quality is created through the interplay of soil, climate and human care.
We want to produce wines that reflect the special quality and landscape that define Sønderstrand – wines with personality, balance and a clear imprint of their origin.
