The Danish Wine Association (FDV) is an interest and trade organization for both hobby and commercial winegrowers and wine producers. FDV is a source of information and inspiration for anyone interested in Danish wine, fruit wine, mead, and distillates.
FDV was founded in 1993 and today has over 1,000 members, divided into approximately 100 commercial growers and 1,000 hobby growers. The commercial growers have approximately 375,000 vines spread over approximately 125 hectares.
Over the years, FDV has established itself as an association with a high professional level.
FDV holds courses, seminars, and workshops as part of promoting and improving the quality of Danish viticulture and the production of wine, fruit wine, mead, and distillates.
The member magazine Vinpressen, which is published 6 times a year, contains both professional articles, interviews, and reports.
Sharing experiences and community around the passion that we all share is an important part of the foundation of the Danish Wine Association.
There are experience and local groups all over the country. Some are geographically affiliated, others are tied to a specific interest. Common to all is that they are run by enthusiastic people with a great degree of pioneering spirit and willingness to share their experiences.
