Hjertebjerg Vineyard

Why produce wine on Møn?
Møn is blessed with plenty of sunshine hours and moderate rainfall, which promotes grape ripening in the warm autumn sun, resulting in high-quality grapes for winemaking.
As we dive into the tasting experience of these Danish wines, we sense not only a lovely flavour but also a strong connection to the Baltic Sea and the winegrower Uffe’s dedication. Good craftsmanship is something you can taste.
Hjertebjerg Vineyard produces and sells: Mølle Port, Hjertebjerg Red and Rosé, “Frühburgunder Red Wine”, as well as sparkling wine.
“Mølle Port” is a wonderful fortified wine made using the port method. The wine is mainly made from Rondo grapes, spiced with a little Regent and a hint of Muscat. It is aged for at least three years in used French oak barrels, which gives it its distinctive flavour and deep colour.
“Frühburgunder Red Wine” is a tribute to tradition and the unique terroir of Møn. The Frühburgunder grapes are carefully grown in the vineyard’s plots, and the wine perfectly expresses Møn’s distinctive climate. The variety produces a red wine with a light, bright taste that captures the essence of Møn. The wine is also oak-aged, adding another level of complexity. It’s perfect for those who appreciate an elegant, easy-drinking wine experience.
Hjertebjerg Red and Rosé are made from Rondo.
